Duel (1971)

IMDB rating: 7.70

Plot: David Mann (’Dennis Weaver (I)’ (qv)) is just a regular family man on a business trip. Unfortunately, things go from bad to worse when a huge gasoline truck in front of him forces him to drive slower than he wants. As the drive continues, Mann realizes that he’s not dealing with just another road hog. Though he can never see the trucker’s face, the driver proves to be psychopathic, starting to run Mann off the road and trick or force him into a number of deadly situations. As the horrific trip continues, Mann tries to lose the truck, but each time he thinks he’s finally in the clear, the truck returns to terrify him more. Finally, the horrific conflict builds to a point where he realizes that running won’t save him, and that he must take a stand and fight back against the insane trucker.

Somebody who knows a lot about composers?
Based on these clues, say the matching composer…

1. I practiced long hours every day and taught myself to play piano extremely well. I dueled Mozart in a piano competition. He never liked my style but I still learned from him to play with more beauty. I wrote many Sonatinas and Sonatas. I also started my own company that made pianos. WHO AM I?

I left my native country when I was 20 years old and never returned because of wars and revolutions. I settled in Paris, where I met many outstanding musicians, authors, and artists, including Liszt, Delacroix, and George Sand. I was called the poet of the piano, and I wrote mostly piano music, including Ballades, Nocturnes, Polonaises, and Mazurkas. WHO AM I?

I lived during the Baroque period and playd the organ like nobody else. I had 20 children, some of whom became musicians. I wasn’t really famous during my life, and most of the music I wrote was used for church services. I wrote great fugues, concertos, masses, and cantatas. My music was rediscovered by F. Mendelssohn. WHO AM I?

Boy, that first one is hard. I’m thinking Salieri, but I can’t find any evidence that he made pianos (the time period is early for pianofortes)

2) Chopin

3) JS Bach
